Dr. Jasmine C. Champagne graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine knowing she would dedicate her entire career to feline medicine & surgery. She proceeded to work at a feline specialty clinic in Ormond Beach, Florida. She worked with two board-certified feline specialists in one of only 3 veterinary clinics in the United States with more than one ABVP feline specialists. She moved on to work at a prestigious feline exclusive clinic in Tampa, Florida. Her dream was always to come back “home” to Acadiana and open a veterinary clinic exclusively for cats and the people who love them. Her special interests include feline internal medicine and ultrasound.

Dr. “C” is originally from Abbeville, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She enjoys the everyday adventures of life with her husband, Chase, blind kitty, Murdock, and sweet dog, Gwen.

Laura grew up in Rayne before continuing her education at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Since high school, she has taken care of pets for family and friends as they traveled including horses, cats, dogs, bearded dragons, gerbils, and parakeets. She has worked in various reception jobs including in higher education, the Girl Scouts, and freightliners, and is proud to join the veterinary team here at the Cat Clinic. She lives with her husband, son, and 4 pets: the cats, Ollie and Percy, a betta fish named King, and their dog, Giovanni.

Kelsey grew up in an environment surrounded by an abundance of different animals. She watched her father and grandfather tenderly care for dogs and cats as well as train horses. She has known since an early age that she wanted to work with animals. She is Cat Clinic of Lafayette’s first RVT, a proud graduate from Northwestern State University from the Veterinary Technology program. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She happily resides in Lafayette, La with her two cats Sabor and Avocado Fitzgerald.

Ava grew up in Abbeville around an animal loving family. Her love for cats and all living things has lead her to begin her college degree of Biology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. With this degree, she hopes to find a career in the medical field (maybe even veterinary medicine). Ava can be seen around the clinic doing nursing duties, working reception, and even some grooming. When not working or at school Ava is known to be at home with her two cats, Luna and Apollo.

SarahBeth has been animal obsessed from childhood. Growing up, she earned the nickname Rescue Ranger as she was always trying to help an animal in need. In 2017, she started working with animals in a professional setting as a tech at LSU’s Veterinary Hospital. From 2019-2023, she worked in mixed practice to continue developing her skills. Since joining the Cat Clinic, she has been focusing on learning the specifics of a feline friendly practice. Her goal is to learn as much as possible about animal medicine and business and to use these skills to her advantage when she starts vet school in the next few years.

Katie grew up in Youngsville, but her hometown is Eunice. She is a dedicated groomer with a passion for animals. Cats have a special way of bringing joy and comfort into our lives. Their playful antics, soothing purrs, and independent nature make them such wonderful companions. Whether they’re curling up on our laps or chasing after a toy, every moment spent with a cat is filled with love and warmth. She plans to go back to school soon to become a certified veterinary technician. She is proud to be a girl mom to Emma Lou and a cat mom to her three adorable fur babies: Queso, Salsa, and Margarita.

Makenzie has always been known amongst her family as an “animal whisperer.” While she was born in Louisiana, Makenzie has moved around the globe, living in Prague, Czech Republic, which ignited her love for travel! In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her friends, and cooking for her loved ones. She currently lives with her partner and her kitten, Loki.

Growing up, Karleigh has always been an animal lover. Born and raised in Mississippi, she and her husband moved to Lafayette in 2022. Karleigh is a full-time doctoral student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, focusing on depictions of women as mothers and/or career women in literature and film. In her free time, Karleigh enjoys watching reality television, trying out new restaurants, and playing games or crafting. She lives with her husband, Zac, and their two cats, Tibby and Terra.

Raelyn has lived an early life full of furry memories, some of her most treasured including those afternoons spent in the yard observing the community cats at play. She has earned her Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology at Baton Rouge Community College, followed by state licensure to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Her cats Eggs, Benedict, and Toast are the stars of the furry memories being made today!
